Shorei and Goju style of karate was brought to this country in 1946 by Master Robert A. Trias, the Father of Karate in America.

Ranks are certified by Sho Go Tae Academy, an internationally recognized organization.
Karate students are eligible for local, national, and international competitions, including Team USA Pankration competitions leading to the Olympics.
Peter Claver Center is an authorized training Center for Team USA. Team USA will be traveling to Scotland in Summer 2007, to compete against teams from England, Sweden, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.
